The CGrow team has already started the preparations for the Meeting of regional coordinators and school ambassadors and for the European Conference. These will be the two main events of the second year of the project.
The meeting of regional coordinators and school ambassadors will take place in Brussels from 27 to 29 April 2018. It will be the opportunity to reinforce transnational cooperation among partners, in order to boost achievements in the framework of CGrow, but also to look ahead and elaborate strategies for ensuring sustainability of the project after its completion. Regional coordinators and school ambassadors from all the countries involved in the project (Austria, Bulgaria, Estonia, France, Germany, Italy, and Sweden) will tackle together the following questions: How can we continue attracting and retaining volunteers? How can we make sure that volunteers’ networks will stay alive and active beyond CGrow? What fundraising opportunities are out there, and how can we seize them? How communication can help in all this?
The European Conference will be the final event of the 2-year project CGrow and will be held in Brussels during the second half of November 2018. This conference will bring together researchers, policy-makers and practitioners, both from the field of formal and non-formal education, to discuss the role of intercultural learning and global competences in our increasingly diverse society. The project CGrow will be of course featured: we hope it will be the starting point to enlarge the discussion and share ideas, suggestions, and ways forward. At the European Conference, we will also share results from the scientific impact study carried out by the FernUniversitaet in Hagen.
The Steering Committee will have an online call in March to start preparing the European Conference: this group will be in charge of narrowing down the topic, choosing a title for the conference, defining specific angles to frame and guide discussions. OBESSU will take care of logistics and communication for the conference.
We look forward to both events, which mark the exciting second year of the CGrow project!
